On June 2, 2024, K.Ko Hair Studio teamed up with Petite Forêt Play Café to host another special Dad’s & Daughters event, bringing dads and daughters together for an afternoon of fun, learning, and hair styling. The event was divided into two full classes—one for dads with short-haired daughters and another for those with long-haired daughters. Each class provided dads with the tools and accessories they needed to create playful, stylish hairdos for their little ones—perfect for recreating at home.
The class was led by the owner/hairstylist of K.Ko Hair Studio, Kanako, along with our talented stylist Shana. Together, they guided the dads through creating simple yet creative hairstyles, including ponytails, pigtails, buns, and half-up/half-down looks. These easy-to-follow styles were designed to be fun and achievable, giving dads the confidence to continue styling their daughters’ hair at home.
Petite Forêt Play Café, a contemporary and inclusive space in Kitsilano, provided the perfect backdrop for this heartwarming event. Designed for families to relax, develop, and socialize, it was an ideal setting for dads and daughters to bond while learning something new. Armed with brushes, elastics, and accessories, the dads worked side by side with their daughters, creating stylish looks that were as fun as they were practical.
The café’s kid-friendly play areas, cozy ambiance, and fresh-baked treats from a French organic bakery added to the laid-back atmosphere, allowing parents to unwind while their little ones explored. The event was filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of proud moments as the dads showed off their new skills and the daughters beamed with joy.
